This conversation will be primarily about what the bible says about adultery and divorce. I know in today’s world, sometimes it’s somehow justified and accepted by some, but is it meant to be that way? Let me first start off say that God HATES a divorce. He states that very clearly in the bible.Feel free to visit their website at explained here for more details
Now, let’s look at Moses’ time period and what he had to say about it. In Leviticus he not only addresses adultery between a husband and wife, he addresses just about every kind of sexual relationship know to man, all bad in the eyes of God with the exception of the bond between husband and wife. Now, most, if not all, consequences for these actions at that time was death by stoning. Moses did give men the ability to give their wives a “certificate of divorce”, even though it may have not been caused by adultery itself, as Jesus later referred to it as men having hardheartedness for their wives at the time.
Later, when Jesus was on the earth, it was stated by him in the first four books of the New Testament that “you must not commit adultery” and he added in the book of Matthew “anyone who keeps on looking at a woman as to have passion for her has committed adultery with her in his heart”. He then goes on later to say “However, I say to you that everyone divorcing his wife, except on account of fornication, makes her a subject for adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery”.
These are just a couple of instances mentioned in the bible. There are many more and they all say pretty much the same thing. Be careful not to fall into modern mans’ trap of thinking it’s acceptable to God, because it’s not. Besides, I don’t think we’re going to change God’s mind anytime in the near future.
Divorce recovery and life rebuilding programs are all designed specifically to be utilized by those who have experienced a divorce and wish to get back in the habit of living regular, responsible lives. The program is designed around the concept that after a divorce a person needs to change the way he thinks, acts, and feels so as to rebuild the things that were lost during the course of the marriage. The recovery program is comprised of giving individuals a systematic plan which has been developed to aid them with the successful recovery of their personal lives following a divorce. Recovery from a divorce does not come easily to some and takes a great deal of counseling and effort on the part of the individual concerned. The following are some of the important elements that will be covered in the Divorce Recovery and Life Rebuilding Program. Our website provides info about support.
The Divorce Recovery and Life Rebuilding program will guide individuals through the process of looking at their own divorce and seeing it as a cause of pain and anguish rather than as a reason for why they married the first place. It will teach how to take heart from the fact that the spouse who was unfaithful did so with good intentions. This will then motivate the individual to look at the reasons why he or she entered into a marriage in the first place and discover the purpose for which he or she entered into it in the first place. When an individual has learned why he or she loved his or her spouse so much he or she will be able to appreciate the love that was shown during the course of the marriage more than ever before.
Once an individual has taken the Divorce Recovery and Life Rebuild Program as a whole, he or she can then look at the ways in which he or she can affect the state of his or her marriage in a positive manner. One of the best things about this type of program is that it lays out in simple terms, step-by-step, what steps will have to be taken in order to improve one’s marriage in the future. Anyone can benefit from this program, whether they are married or not. There is no shame in seeking help if you are having problems dealing with your marriage today. There are many different programs out there to choose from so take advantage of the one that works best for you.
